Antivirus plugin support for version 6

I am currently using version 5.2.3 with Visnetic antivirus 4.4.3.1. I would like to upgrade to version 6 but I am uncertain whether the Visnetic antivirus plugin would still work. Is it still supported under version 6? Would i have to upgrade to a new version? Would I have to buy a kaspersky antivirus license instead? These are important considerations for me to proceed with my upgrade plans.

Sorry for the long delay in responding to this - we needed to test and ensure that it works before replying. Using WinGate 6.0.1, with VisNetic AntiVirus plugin version 4.4.3.1 worked.

To test, we visisted the www.eicar.org test site. Attempts to download the virus through HTTP was blocked and the resulting data stream quarantined.
