I have the WGIC installed on the same maching as the Wingate server. When I was using my cable modem, everything was fine. Since I lost my cable service in a storm, I have been using a modem. The other machines (2) using NAT can activate the dialer but when trying to browse the Internet on the Wingate machine with WGIC, the dialer is not initiated. Any ideas?
Oh, I am using Wingate 6.0.1:995 on a winXP machine.

Hi
In general it isn't a great idea to run WGIC on the same machine as WinGate. WinGate itself checks for this and disables the client for WinGate, but it could cause problems with some applications.
The recommended way to get your local machine to surf through WinGate is using proxies, i.e. configure your local IE to proxy through the IP of your WinGate machine.

Thanks Adrien, that works but I thought you had to use the WGIC if you wanted to use Puresight on the Server Machine. Now the Dialer is working but the filter does not trap.
As I said before, the WGIC scenario worked fine when I had my cable modem but doesn't work with the Dial-up. Well, at least it works now!
