Wingate license

Hello,
If i buy a wingate license for the version 6, will it work to the version 5 ?
I've been using the trial version of 5 and it works great, but i installed the version 6 and it has some problems in my network, so i will prefer the version 5.

No, licenses are only forward compatible (v5 works with v6), not backwards compatible.

What problems did you have with version 6? I can't find any other posts from you, so maybe we can get that resolved easily enough.

Otherwise, talk to our Support team (http://support.qbik.com/) about version 5 licenses, they'll be able to tell you about the current policy, etc.

Hello Pascal,

The problem is that we have a VPN connection with one of our customers. Using Wingate 5.0.1, we can made the connection to the VPN using the client machines and it works great. Using Wingate 5.1, the connection with the VPN can't be made by the client machine, only in the Wingate server. Finally, using the new Wingate 6, the VPN connection can be made on the client machine, but it just connects, and after it we can't do anything after the connection. So far, the only version of Wingate that works for us is the 5.1, that's why we want a 5.1 license.

Any suggestions ?

I don't know what the policy is on that. You will need to submit a support ticket for that.
