we have a internal web site, and there's a pop up window in the first page, it's programmed by java, sometime, the windows not pop up properly, and in the status bar of the internet explorer in the buttom, it says: JwebBuilder notinited.
so what's that problem?

as it happens, i was monitering the internet activities, i saw a lot of internet activies, we have 100+users, but not intercurrent. after a while, people start go back home, and there are only 2 or 4 users still here, and i try to refresh the web page, and the windows still didn't show up. so this time i restart wingate engine( i restarted it once during the time internet were busy, but it didn't work) , this time it works. so i guess it's because of the traffic problem. and here are my www proxy debug logs here for your information.

Here is my wingate server's configeration:
P4 2.4 G
1024M ram
80G HD
1 NIC(100Mbps)
10M Fiber internet circuit

so can you guys give me some advise to avoid this problem even there are many users using the internet.
my license is ver 4 250+ users

Connection refused by Remote Host - terminating

Could you have exceeded a license count on your remote host? (Assume the blanked out address was the internal server you were talking about?) Or violated some conditions that would have led to it refusing the connection?

which license? the license of wingate we have is unlimit user license. and we don't have any limit in the server.

No, on your internal web-server.

no. it's a linux based server. and some of the clients now have http 500 internal server error.

I'm getting a bit confused here, so will try to clarify the scenario a bit. Are you getting these errors when connecting to your internal server, or when connecting out through WinGate to the Internet?

Which Java program are you talking about? The one that WinGate serves to a user for authentication purposes when you use Java authentication or are you talking about a custom solution running on your Linux box?

A: I set bypassing the proxy server when visiting the internal site, but it still goes through the proxy server.

A: not wingate java authentication program but a java authentication windows our internal server has.

Where have you configured it to not use the proxy? If it's from the client, you most likely have intercepts turned on on the server. (That will still grab any connection being made through it (Normally on port 80))

yes, I configered on the client machine, bypassing the URL begins with .... in IE proxy setting sheet.
How to turned on intercepts on the server?
I'm using port 8080 for all www request.

I was thinking intercepts needed to be off. Check in the WWW Proxy Service on Wingate - there should be a "Settings" page where you can see what ports are being intercepted for the service.

Intercept provides a way for you to use the proxy but configure the client computer to use WinGate like a NAT. So the client thinks it's natting, but WinGate is actually proxying it. This gives you access to advanced policies and plugins, while allowing you to configure things easily.

You should find info on it in the Help File, under Intercepts or Transparent Redirection.
