This is probably a basic thing. How do I configure Wingate so that users can trigger the dialer when accessing either web or mail but not autos like Windows Update or Norton Live Update etc. I have tried restricting dialer to the two users but Wingate does not know about the users because there is no authentication. Tried putting authentication on the Redirection Service but this does not seem to kick in until the Wingate Dialup Monitor pops up once dialing has started, which of course it won't start because it doesn't know who the users are.
So basically I only want my two users to trigger a dial not any system process.

This could do it: In Dialer properties add keywords from the url you don't wish to trigger dialing in the field, Don't dial for sites containing....
Report back how you go!
