I have updated from Wingate v5.2.3 to v6, instaled without mail support, I have an intermal mail server on my lan.
I have activated SMTP Server service, marked "support outboud mail via ISP mail server" and filled my ISP Smtp server.
The problem is on binding, I only need to bind my Lan to this service (for outgoing smtp), but if I select "bind any ip address on my internal adapter" any binding is activated, I have to select "Bind to any IP on Any adapter" to make it works, but the firewall open port 25 from the internet and I have to close it manually.
Why I cannot bind only Lan Adapter to this service?. I have tried with TCP mappind on port 25 with the same result. In Wingte v5.2.3 I did not have this problem. Rest of service are working fine.
Best Regards.
Luis.

Hi Luis
What adapters do you have, and how are they configured to be used by WinGate?
If you have the policy "bind to any internal adapter", then your LAN adapter needs to be configured to be internal. Check in GateKeeper on the Network tab, and make sure that the usage of each adapter is correct.
Also, make sure that the SMTP server (even though disabled) does not have any bindings showing - if it does, delete all the binding policies for it, or make sure you are running version 6.0.3.

I could solve the problem following instruction in other thread in this site.
Here is the solutions, I think this is a problem Qbik have to solve, is not razonable have to delete and restart and assign again......
>Otherwise, if your adapter was indeed marked as internal, and yet >WinGate still doesn't bind to the adapters try the following.
>1. Delete all binding policies from the SMTP server
>2. Delete all binding policies from the SMTP proxy
>3. Save settings
>4. Restart WinGate
>5. Add binding policies to the SMTP proxy = accept connections on any >adapter.
>6. Hit the apply button in the SMTP proxy. You should see the binding >pop up.

OK, which build of WinGate 6.0 are you running? I thought we fixed this problem in WinGate 6.0.3 build 1005.

In the TCP/IP settings of the network adapter on the machine Gamma, is it using the IP address of Alpha its default gateway?
Otherwise did you install the WinGate client on Gamma?
If you aren't using WinGate's NAT functions, or the WinGate Client, then another option is to use the SOCKS server in WinGate. To do this, go to your internet connection settings (the settings for Internet explorer are also used for Outlook in so far as SOCKS is concerned), and set the SOCKS server ip to the WinGate machines' IP on port 1080.
