[info] Wingate's bridging features

Oct 04 04 6:26 am

Hello there,

I need a solution to bridge two or possibly more dial-up connections, and then share the whole bridge across the LAN. I realize Wingate can bridge two segments of LAN but l'm unsure about its dial-up connections bridging features.

Thanks

Hi

the term Bridging is normally used to mean an ethernet-level bridge, where the two networks are effectively joined together into one effective physical network.

Is this what you mean to do, or do you just need to use multiple dialup connections?

Adrien,

yes I need to use multiple dialup connections, and share them over a (wireless)LAN. Is there a way to accomplish that with WinGate ?

Thanks

You can use the "Gateway" feature in WinGate to accomplish something very similar. Gateways allow you to specify per service how to use your available gateways. You could set a policy to rotate between the different dialup adapters.
