..as the 'Guest' user.
That's the error message which has been appearing on the Wingate machine (Win XP SP1). This is while logged on using the Admin account - which is both Domain and local admin, and is a member of the Wingate administrators group.
It happens when logging on at the Wingate machine and also when using Remote Desktop Connection from another XP machine (SP1 and SP2).
The odd thing is that when I log onto the Wingate comp as an ordinary (non-admin) user, Wingate lets me straight in with no errors. Something has changed, but I've got no idea what. This is Wingate 5.1.0 build 867.
Can anyone suggest any solutions? Thanks.

Hi Chris
This certainly does seem very strange that you are receiving this message when you have logged into Windows with a Domain Administrator equivilent account, and still receive this message when trying to login to GateKeeper.
I retested your scenario
Using WinGate 5.1
Logged into XP(SP1) machine (which is running WinGate) in a domain environment as user Fred (member of Domain administrators group/Local machine administrators group) and didnt have any problems logging into GateKeeper.
Tried logging on to the machine as Guest user (which is disabled by default in a domain/on the domain controller, so I enabled it) received the message as expected "Unable to logon with Gatekeeper .. etc.
So unfortunately couldnt repro your issue.
I was thinking that your issue might occur when Fast user switching(XP feature) is enabled in XP. Maybe when "Guest" was logged into XP and the user was switched to Administrator, and subsequently couldnt login to Gatekeeper.
But this wouldnt be the case in your scenario because Fast user switching is not available when XP machine is a member of a domain.

Erwin
