Active Directory + Audit

Hello,

I have my Wingate server set up to pull the users from my active directory which is excellent & works a treat, unfortunately all the auditing options are off by default, I can go through them all and enable the audit however when the active directory syncs up the audit options are reset. The software I use to report useage uses the audit logs to generate it's reports, is there any way of either setting the default audit options to be on or prevent them from being changed during a sync?
