Denying ports in specific time?

Oct 11 04 6:39 am

hi all,

How to deny or ban the ports in specific times?

Thanks...

If this is outgoing, setup a Policy. Use the time inclusion/exclusion to determine the time range. Add an Advanced Filter / Criterion to ban specific ports.

hi pascal

Pls help me how to ban Yahoo Messenger in specific time? All my clients used Nat...I tried to setup in ENS (extended networking) under policies tab. and I add recipient which is Guest and used the time inclusion & exclusion and add an criterion Server Port Number equal to 5050 and the System Policies Defaults (Are Ignored) and save the settings. But the problem i cannot Sign In in mail.yahoo.com or sometime no access on internet. is there something wrong with my settings? any suggestion? any idea?

Your help is highly appreciated.

First question would be - which error messages are you getting when you try to sign in? Secondly, are you using intercepts / transparent redirection?

The easiest option will probably be if you export your WinGate registry and email it to me. I can then re-import it here and run through it in GateKeeper to check where there might be problems with the policy setup.

hello. i have almost the same problem.
i want for all users to have access to pop, smtp, www, ftp, ssh, news and for the rst of the day to nothing else.
for the night i would like to allow everything out.
I use WinGate 5.2.3 .and ENS
how do i do this ?
Is there a way to create a rule saying that ens should switch to allow mode for night and by day to deny? ( permiting the above ports, though)

i must allow dc++ for night and this is a problem , as it runs on 411 and on random ports.
a tutorial would be of great help or a detailed step by step to configure this ports.
Thank you!
