I am sure this has been covered countless times, so sorry for asking again, but I could not find any relevant entties in this forum.
I have a problem with Wingats not disconnecting from the Internet, due to the ammount of randon traffic my connection receives from my ISP. I have tried to mess with the registry settings for Idle Time without any success.
Does anyone have a work-around for this? I have now started to think about a third part DUN monitor that will disconnect. Any suggestions?
Regards

The traffic you are seeing is normal for most dialers; it's a form of keepalive. The topic above has a discussion about the formula used to calculate the idle traffic and the appropriate registry keys to edit. (Which should give you the appropriate values for the value you are editing - simply check the amount of traffic across the link while WinGate is running and the connection is idle)

Thanks Pascal. I changed the IdleTrafficLevel to 1000, more than I had previously changed, and it worked. I can surf in confidence now.
