I have had several instances where intruders have made it past the firewall.
How do i limit it where only only certain ip ranges can access the Wingate Server to make it out to the WAN?
Thanks,
Matt

Hi
When you say made it past the firewall, do you mean they gained access when a port was blocked?
Or was the port they used open?
You can use the policies in the ENS to determine who can make NAT connections.

it was a port that Wingate didn't specifically have closed (port 1080, socks proxy to be specific). I then closed it in ENS.
I have experiemented with the Policies in ENS and have never gotten them to work. [For instance i tried to apply a policy where only certain ip's could gain access through VNC.] Is there a type of setup that it will only work with? For instance does WGIC have to be on client computers or some sort of authentication in place?
I do not employ WGIC or authentication. We just use NAT.
How in my case could you use policies to limit this?
I apologize for all of my questions. I recently took over as admin for a small company. They have had Wingate in place for several years. I am at an inherent disadvantage of understanding how it works in our network since i did not set it up.
I do read the help documentation and the forums have been most helpful.
Thanks,
matt
