WWW Proxy Settings

Nov 26 04 10:52 pm

Hi !

In Wingate 6.0 it seems that www proxy can cascade to only 1 other proxy server.

1) Is there a chance to add a 2nd one or connect directly when cascade is not available ?

2) Is it possible to exclude www pages from the cascade for local domains ? Eg. PC 1 + Wingate is cascading to PC2 + Wingate. PC2 is also Cascacding to external Proxy Server. PC 1 has its onw webserver running and i don't want to connect to PC 2 cascade for specific websites. www.web1.com and www.web2.com should being exluded from the cascade.

3) Do not cascade for pingable sites ? What does it mean ?

Hi,

Sorry for the late reply.
Such connection policy is not supported by wingate. If your configuration says "Cascaded proxy", then only the specified proxy will be used.

Hi,

Using WG6, but the WWW Proxy Policy ignores the Ban List when I specify a Group ... I need a group (two actually). There are a number of user's I'd like to track by WG Username, so I really need the Group's ban list to work.
