WinGate 6 as POP3/SMTP Proxy

Nov 30 04 9:26 am

I want to use WinGate 6 as a proxy server to connect to my ISP's POP3 and SMTP servers. I will not be using WinGate 6 as a mail server. How do I do this?

Is the following document (for WinGate 5) still relevent or is there a newer one for WinGate 6?:

http://www.wingate.com/files/Mail_Serve ... narios.pdf

Thanks,

Mike

Hi Mike,

There is some POP3 detail in this thread: http://forums.qbik.com/viewtopic.php?t=2950

For SMTP sending in the Email service / Mail Server Properties just add the host's mail gateway server name, port, use Gateway plus enable sending of email.

Report back how you go!
