Wingate NAT - Port 443 ???

Dec 03 04 9:28 pm

Dear Qbik Team,
I'm using NAT and Transparent Redirection. Whenever a user attempts to open a website (e.g. mail.yahoo.com).. website opens using proxy but some NAT connections to 66.218.70.70:443 are created. The ip "66.218.70.70" is basically an ip of "search.yahoo.com" subdomain.

It also happens when a user opens google.com and alot more websites.

Please let me know how to redirect this port through proxy just as other requests.

Thank You.

Ermm... Redirecting port 443 can be a problem. Redirection relies on plain HTTP requests while port 443 without proxy support does not conform to HTTP protocol (GET/... request set). All other ports can be redirected simply by adding the proper ports on the list of ports to be intercepted (see WWW service properties).

Thanks for the help.
I'm using 5.0.2, i can't see any interception option.

No, Intercepts were known as "Transparent Redirection" in 5.0.2. I would strongly recommend that you use 6.0.3, however. You can use 6.0.3 with your existing 5.x license key.
