No ip forwarding!?!?!?!?

Maybe i am being stupid, but i have an odd problem.
I use Windows 2000 Advanced server and downloaded the newest WinGate.

The problem is that the client pc's cant access the internet straight away, when i use the proxy they can access the internet, but the problem is that all other progs dont work, (mail, telnet, etc)

The clients use 172.16.100.x address and the server internal 172.16.100.250.
On the internet side the server uses 10.0.0.3 and is pointing to a Zyxel router 10.0.0.1

From a client i can ping up to the 10.0.0.3 address but i cant access 10.0.0.1 or whatever other 10 address. From the server i can do everything, so all progs and ports are open and working.

Theres a good chance that its a Windows issue, but i'm really stuck with this problem.

First thing to check is that the adapters usage is configured properly (intern/external) - switch to Networks tab in Gatekeeper and check what the usage says for each adapter.
