Hello,
I configured this history settings:
- Enable history recordings: activated
- Maximum database size: 100000kB
- Maximum days to store data: 14 days
- no filter
If I have a look at the history window at GateKeeper, I just can view a few hours. If I check the history folder, the history file has a size of 1 MB (maximum).
What could be the reason, tat the history doesn't work correct?

How long have you been recording history?

Hello Pascal,
I startet the recording last saturday (12/11/2004) and I should be able to watch the history until then.
If I have a look at the history settings at the options menu (as discribed above) the history should contain the last 2 weeks or a size of app. 100MB.

I'm just wondering if it might be a problem with the viewer in GateKeeper (Or a case of it still reading data while you're viewing / etc.)
If you open the file with another editor (Like Excell, they can open the history files) - do you see a more accurate range of records? (You will need to stop the Engine, and I'd recommend working with a copy of the file)

Hello,
I checked the file History.dbf. This file has got toe following properties:
- Size: 797 kB
- Numer of entries: 3355
- Starttime first entry: 1102979863
- Starttime last entry: 1103009908
If I have a look at the history tab of WinGate, the history starts 12/14/04 8:11.
Just another question, what format do I need at Excel to view the starttime column?

Hello,
I checked the file today with Excel. It contains a history of 1 1/2 day with a size of 2 MB. I think, that is has to contain the history of 6 1/2. What could be the reason for this behaviour?

Don't honestly know - all our servers here show history for the correct amount of time. (Our main server's history file is 48 out of 50MB after a rescent purge, but that only shows today's traffic)
Do you have any system messages that indicate WinGate has attempted to repair a corrupted history file or anything like that?
