Hi,
I use Wingate 6.0.4 trial version.
The problem is that we have a network thet requires a proxy to connect to internet.
Also some computers have access to internet and some dont.
I have 3 computers and only 1 has internet connection while other two are blocked and can access internet through my proxy.
Since the proxy for some reason is not working anymore I insalled WinGate and ALL IS WELL. BUT....
We have internal http servers and must bypass them when using proxy. Also there are other programs.
Can I somehow configure WinGate server or Client so the dont check addresses like *.nswireless.net or 10.* and that all requests for that adresses go directly to network.
I dont know if I told it right but here it is...
program Ichat uses port 12345 on our network. My computer and 2 other computers use my network connection to connect to internet and network.
Every time I start IChat I get:
could not bind socket. Adress and port are already in use.
That did not occured befor I installed WinGate.
So is there any way to tell wingate not to process local network address like *.nswireless.net od 10.*.
I have to add that this have to be set in IE proxy settings for losal http to work.
Thanx.

Is there WGIC client software installed on your client machine?
There is a way to bypass proxies for the certain addresses - you have to configure your web browser to bypass proxy for thos addresses you want to connect directly or edit the automatic configuration file on Wingate machine.

oh .. i forgor ... I did set up the proxy in internet explorer the right way.
I typed the bypas proxy adress... but WinGate doesent notice it.
and another thing....
I seams I cant access my FTP server or the FTP server of the machine I installed Client.
Right now i have server on my machine and client on other one.
I cant get to FTP on client machine and client cant get to my FTP server.
I have a server on third machine and I can get to it from server and from client machine. the terms client and server are the machines where the Wingate server and wingate client is installed.
Can you please tell me how to setup WinGate server and client so they pay no attention to *.nswireless.net and 10.* but to work for internet. I have to point that proxy.nswireless.net is the proxy server set in Internet Explorer and is on port 8080. The SOCKS is on 1080.
The internet is not the issue as it works with wingate .. now I have problem with local addresses.
thanx.
