Licence reactivation (wingate reinstall)

Apr 12 05 4:21 am

Right now the office I work for uses a w2k professional machine as a gateway with the wingate software.

I'm planning on doing an upgrade on it transforming that computer in a w2k backup server (BDC).

I still wanna run the wingate on it, but the idea is to have a BDC to keep things running if the PDC goes down.

Now, I'll have to reinstall everything. I'm not sure if I'll be able to upgrade the installation. If I'm able to upgrade wingate may not be removed and maybe I won't have too much trouble with it, but if I have to reformat and start from scratch I'll need to reactivate it.

Can I use the previous info I received from QBik to reacitave since it's the same machine?

You re-use the same license key, but it is strongly recommended that you de-activate the license prior to uninstalling / reformatting the machine. You can do this from the activation client.

Sure. If you do run into problems the fastest (And often easiest way) to have a license reactivated is to submit a support ticket with your:

* License ID
* Licensee
* Key

to the support team during our business hours. Do this from support.qbik.com, not on the forum. If you have your original license confirmation email then that will be the perfect thing to pass on to them.
