I find your post a bit hard to understand your desired result. Do you think you can give a few more details?

Hi Edgar,

Are you talking about a machine on your LAN that has a public IP address?

On the network tab in GateKeeper is your LAN adapter marked as internal? If it is not please double click it and set it to internal. Your internet adapter should be set to external.

There is no way to open the firewall to a single IP address, so a machine outside your network would need to use the VPN to connect to your LAN.

Yes, a machine on my LAN that has a public IP address.

Yes, a machine on my LAN that has a public IP address

I need to allow a specific external / public IP address (which is a computer in the LAN) full access through

the WinGate firewall (drive shares, files etc) as an user additional.

I have a third party application that I am running in our office. I have been told that in order for this

application to work, the computer that it resides on needs a public IP address (to be "outside the LAN").

Obviously I also need for this computer to access the LAN normally.

I need use the VPN?

I'm Sorry, for my english.

Thanks.

This computer this under same subnet

Well if this computer is on your LAN then it must have an interface with the same IP address as the rest of the LAN. It must have a second interface with an external IP address does it?

Thank you very much, Mattp.

No, single one.

So, the solution is to install an additional interface for the external IP address.

It is one similar situation to the one of the Server, who needs 2 interfaces. One for connection ADSL and the other for the LAN.

I had not thought about it before.

Thank you very much, Mattp.
