What kind of compatability are you after? Wingate does have additional processing for Squid-initiated traffic because Squid uses some non-standard HTTP pragmas.

You mean if Wingate can use Squid cache? No, it cannot - but you can run Squid behind Wingate without starting Wingate internal WWW proxy.
