starting and stopping Wingate from the command line

Nov 08 03 3:32 am

I am still toying with the idea of using a script or the scheduler for stopping and re-starting the Wingate 5.0.7 engine once a day to avoid the program hangs that occur every 1 to 3 days.

Are there any command-line qualifiers to stop and start the Wingate engine service? I remember seeing this information somewhere, but I can't find it.

BTW, I am using NT4?

Thanks,

Gabriel

Try:
net start "Qbik Wingate engine"

and
net stop "Qbik Wingate engine"

WGRestart?

What's the file "WGRestart.exe" in WinGate directory are for?
It didn't show any significant changes when I tried to run it.

I think it's used by GateKeeper to restart the engine.

other options are to use the command line switches on the engine itself (this is what the menu options do).

wingate -start
wingate -stop
