Block download accelerators

Is there a way to block download accelerators? Because if one is triggered from one of my clients, the bandwidth is all consumed by this application thereby making browsing and everything else impossible or very slow. I wish that wingate can detect them...

How can these accelerators be detected? Is it some specific port they connect to or specific text in the traffic?

Check in you history.dbf all access from ip or user, or the activity window when one pc with the accelerator software is running. Allways this software have a domain to the output, then blosk or banned this domain.
