Is there anyway to customize the screen people get when they are blocked? For example, I have a rule set to block .exe files.

Not in WinGate 6.x, but in WinGate 2008, custom error messages will be possible.

The PureSight plugin allows further customisation of errror pages but if you don't have that installed and you have a webserver on your local LAN, there is a registry setting in WG 6.x that can be modified to allow the forwarding to a web page of your choosing when WG encounters a policy violation. This redirected page can be something simple or if you are adept at writing server side scripts you can then, on policy violation, send the user a much more customised page. It isn't just straight forward, and as logan pointed out it will be much easier in the next version of WG. See these previous postings.
