Wingate & criterions

Hello,

I'd like to use wingate to only let a user go on 5 websites (I don't want to use puresight). What should I do ?
I read some things on policies with proxy but it only bans URL and not ban everything and let some url.

Can anyone help me please ?

I answer to myself, that I hope will help many people.

To only allow some websites do as follow :

-in www proxy server click on "policies"
- then "Add"
- then choose who shall be restricted
- then go on "Ban list"
- "enable ban list"
- " Add" then "this criterion is met if" "server name" "contains" "www"
- then "ok" and "ok"
- then click on "Add"
- select the same user/group
- then go on "Advanced"
-"specify which request this recipient has rights for"
- "add filter" => "Add criterion"
- "this criterion is met if" "HTTP URL" "contains" "##PUT HERE A WEBSITE ALLOWED##"
- add how many filter (and 1 criterion per filter) you need for this.
- click "ok " and "ok".

Users/groups are not only allowed to go on website referenced on the "Advanced" criterions.

That is one way of doing it however the ban list policy is not required.

1. Open Gatekeeper on the WinGate server.
2. Double click the WWW Proxy Server from the Service tab.
3. Open the Policies tab.
4. Select Default Rights (System Policies) are ignored,
5. Click Add.
6. In the Properties for new recipient dialogue select the Recipient tab and select the Users/groups to whom this policy will apply.
7. Select the Advanced tab and choose Specify which requests this recipient has rights for
8. Click Add filter,Add criterion.
9. Choose This criterion is met if
10. HTTP URL
11. contains
12. wingate
13. Ok your way out.

This has created a policy that allows access ONLY to any URL that contains WinGate. If you wish to explicitly allow access to more sites repeat steps 7-12.
