Using specific network adapter for mail

Jul 26 08 7:18 am

I have a mail server behind my wingate box.

Is it possible to send all outbound traffic on port 25 thru one network adapter.

I have 2 DSL lines on my wingate box.

Thank you,

Hi,

Yes you could do this using the Gateway feature in Wingate to point to just one NIC // ADSL for that service.

I see where you can set gateways on specific services, but I don't see how to set it on specific ports.

If I set the SMTP Server service gateway to a specific network adapter, will it intercept port 25 traffic from the LAN and only send it on that adapter?

Ok, how about creating a new SMTP Mapping on port of your choice with relay to the other host.

Right click the Services field --> New
