Connection problem

Sep 24 08 9:16 pm

Dear Win Gate Support

I have bought WinGate 6.x Professional and installed it on our server with Windows Server 2003, i've left default configurations of ports.

I've added some accounts, and installed on a remote pc, with Windows Vista, WinGate Client.

I've tried to connect (by connect card Vodafone) and it worked the first time, now it's impossible and the application show me a message of denied by firewall (firewall tab).

Why did i connect the first time, and not now?

Is there any other configuration to try?

Best regards

Hello,

Probably not the problem but in GateKeeper look for the 'Network' tab.

Locate the Network interfaces and make sure they are correctly identified as 'internal and external // Lan and Internet' respectively.

The pc client is not on the same net of the server (it's not a lan).

In TAB network of the GateKeeper in local area connection status , in tab "general" is checked autodetect.

Is it wrong?

Thanks

It sounds like the configuration you are trying to set up is not a very typical one so our documentation may not cover your configuration requirements adequately. I'd like to request some information from you that you may not want to send publicly over the forum, so could you create a support ticket for this issue at the online help desk. We will be happy to work with you to find an appropriate configuration to meet your requirements.

Thanks,
Logan
