hi there!
i have a little problem limitating the internetconnection for a kid.
I want the kid to have access from 14.00 to 19.00 o'clock - but system policies are not working...
i tried:
system policies - added new group (restricted.name) - location (192.168.0.99 or whatever) - time include (weekdays from 14.00 to 19.00)
but the user / kid still has full internetaccess.
btw: i am using an external dns service (openDNS) - maybe this is the problem?
regards
christian

Hello, I believe that your issue is that the 'kid' is also part of the 'Everyone' . Even though you have setup a separate policy for the 'kid' they are also part of 'Everyone" and because 'Everyone' has permissions the 'kid' does as well. You could under System policies include a policy in the 'Everyone' so that the 'kid' is not granted rights, then your policy for the 'kid' would apply. I would suggest in System policies select 'Everyone', select the Advanced tab, select Specify which requests this recipient has rights for, select Add Filter, select Add Criterion, select This criterion is NOT met if, then select in first dropdown box User:Username, select in second box equals, last box kid(or whatever the username really is) then OK your way back out to GateKeeper. Let us know if this helps.
