Wingate and Telstra Satellite/ISDN

Sep 09 05 8:36 pm

I have Wingate 6.04 installed and use a Telstra Satellite for Internet to our network. All works good until...... I enable a Telstra ISDN connection (NT1 PlusII) on the same machine. Internet is then only available locally. When the ISDN is disconnected all returns to normal.
We use static IP's on Windows 2000.

Can I have both connections enabled and stll have internet connectivity to the other machines on the network? If so what am I missing?

I just liaised with a developer regarding this. He has requested an ipconfig/all and a route print. We better get your WinGate registry too just in case the issue you are facing is not obvious via TCP/IP settings. Please send this information to sales@wingate.com

ipconfig/all
(Windows) Start menu --> cmd --> ipconfig/all >> C:\ipa.txt
route print
(Windows) Start menu --> cmd --> route print >> C:\ipr.txt
(Navigate to C:\ after running these commands)
WinGate Registry
(Windows) Start menu --> Programs --> WinGate --> Advanced Options --> Registry --> Export Settings

If I cannot see an obvious problem, the developers may be at work in the weekend to look at this. Our apologies for any inconveniences this causes.

Problem resolved.....
As suspected the problem here was incorrect settings and some corruption.
Incorrect policies being set meant that DNS lookups were flooding our satellite link.

Thanks to all for fast response!!!!
