I have just installed WinGate and would like to ask, how to configure NAT(I don't find this feature).
Maybe I have assumed wrong, but I am trying to use Comp1(Wingate installed) internet connection on Comp2. Do I need to install Wingate client on Comp2?

If you want to use NAT you have to install Wingate along with Extended Networking - this is where NAT is controlled.

If I remember correcty, I have put a check during install.
I can see Extended Networking, but where in GateKeeper can I find NAT settings?

This is what is responsible for NAT _ Extended Networking. All you need to do is to configure your adapters correctly - internal and external adapters must be properly marked.

I haven't succeeded yesterday. Can you give me some help?
On Comp1 I have installed WinGate server. On this computer I have an AOL dialup adapter which connection I want to share with other local computers. I set the gateways fine, but still can't surf the internet from other computers. Surfing from Comp1 works fine.

Check your adapters' properties on Network panel - they must be correctly identified as external (for your dialup) and internal (for your other computers). Also, make sure that the client computers have their default gateways set through the Wingate machine.

I have configured adapters as you said, no go.
Maybe the problem is in AOL dialup adapter?

You may find the following installation guide helpful. This will walk you through all the steps of installing and configuring WinGate and your clients, including NAT configuration.

I don't see any installation guide ;)
Also exists there a possibility, that AOL dialup adapter is the case? I have googled around and found that AOL use nonstandard protocols. They are not supported by ICS, NAT32,...

My bad :). I meant the "following" installation guide.

It is possible. Work through that guide and see how far you get. If you run into any problems, create a support ticket at the online helpdesk and I will request your configuration information from you.

I had configured a NAT from external Port 888 with redirect to internal Router with Port 80.
I have tested it, worked fine. Then I tried to remove this NAT. I deleted it in the Extended Network and have restartet Wingate. Is was no longer shown . but it still works. And I can monitor it with Monitor-Activity.
How do I remove a previous NAT config??

Hi,
Can you check in the registry please for something like:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Qbik Software\WinGate\Components\WinGate Network Driver\PortRanges\0\1
You may need to go through until you find the entry that corresponds to your port redirection. Stop the WinGate engine and delete the key, then restart the engine and test again.
Thanks,
Matt

Hi Matt,
Thank you. I found it under /2 and again under /4, /6 and /8 and have deleted all.Wingate was down and I startet it and tested - Port is now no longer working.
Isn't Wingate deleteing the entries?
Regards,
Andre
