Hi, I am running WinGate 6.2.2 Server in a Windows 98.
When I run GateKeeper from a Vista to connect to it, the Control Panel is blank, just a grey area.
The title bar is "GateKeeper - connected to WinGate on 192.168.0.17"
The "Remote Control Service" in the server has no ban list or whatever restrictions.
I've tried to search for "gatekeeper" in this forum, but it says:
"The following words in your search query were ignored because they are too common words: gatekeeper."
What should I do ?
Thanks.

OK, I've checked the Remote Control log, it says authorisation failed, but I can login using the user "administrator", and it is under "Administrators" group.
03/11/09 14:07:50 192.168.0.5 administrator 0000036402 Failed authorisation: Retrieve System Info
03/11/09 14:07:50 192.168.0.5 administrator 0000036402 Failed authorisation:
03/11/09 14:07:50 192.168.0.5 administrator 0000036402 Failed authorisation:
03/11/09 14:07:50 192.168.0.5 administrator 0000036402 Failed authorisation: Get local IP Information
03/11/09 14:07:50 192.168.0.5 administrator 0000036402 Failed authorisation: Get all licences
I've made Administrators group to "Unrestricted rights", and also made the user "Administrator" to "Unrestricted rights".
Tried "System policies are ignored" and "may be used instead" too.

This most likely is a licensing issue. You need Professional or higher versions to use remote gatekeeper access.

ic, my license is WinGate Plus.

We haven't had a WinGate Plus license in a very long time. The current types of license are Standard, Pro and Enterprise.
Which version license is it?

We bought WinGate Plus 5.
The currently installed version is 6.2.2 build 1137.
The About window in GateKeeper doesn't show whether it's Standard or Pro.

if you go to license management and select the activated license it should tell you what version etc license you have.
Failing that, if you submit a support ticket at our helpdesk
http://support.qbik.com they should be able to help you with that.

It says:
WinGate 5.x Plus 25 user license
License id: (xxxxxx)
Registered to: (my company)
Note This activation gives you the reduced features applicable to your version 5 key. To access the newer features you will need to purchase an upgrade.
For product support click here
The "reduced features" link to
http://www.wingate.com/wingate-licensing.php which is not available. Guess I need to upgrade to use Remote Control.

Hi
plus didn't have remote GateKeeper access. You should still be able to gatekeeper locally, e.g use Remote Desktop.

You should still be able to gatekeeper locally, e.g use Remote Desktop.
That's what I am doing now, using UltraVNC.
Anyway, thanks for the replies.

That reduced features link is for the old website. It is located in the following location on the new website.
