Hi there,
My office is using wingate on the server, and all of the other PC connects to the server to have access on the internet. My PC is one of those.
I tried using a FTP program to upload a file to my webserver, but the transfer does not begin. Can wingate be a cause of this? If yes, how do i rectify it? Because on the Server that has wingate installed but connects directly to the internet, i am able to upload. Please help.
Thanks,
Terence

Can you turn on the logging for the FTP proxy service, and then try to connect to your FTP server again? Once you have done that, please navigate to C:\Program Files\WinGate\Logs\FTP Proxy server and open the FTP Proxy server.log file; does that indicate where the failure is?
Also, For your information: If you are connecting to the WinGate server via NAT or the WinGate Ineternet Client (WGIC), you could turn off the FTP Proxy Server Intercepts for a more direct connection; that option is found in the green box in image below.
