Filter/Criterion Sort Order

Aug 22 09 9:42 pm

Hello!

I have just upgraded to v6.6.3 B1321. I noticed that my filters sort order have been messed up (i.e. Filter 1, Filter 2, Filter 16, Filter 3, Filter 12...). Also, when creating new filters for new users, the filter number starts at the last filter number used on the previous user (i.e. created newuser10 with filters upto Filter 5. when creating user11 and adding new filters, the filter number starts at Filter 6 instead of being reset to Filter 1)

I need the filters sorted out for I get confused in locating my filters on my written list.

Please help.

Thank you very much!

Hi

You can rename those filters. The labels are editable.

Hello, Adrien!

I know that the filter labels are editable. If it were only a few of them, I wouldn't mind renaming them manually - but a lot would be a painstaking.

If there's no other way to do so, then I guess I have no choice. But it would be nice to have them sorted automatically - messing them up was not my doing, in the first place.

Thanks!

Hi

We didn't change any code there, so I don't know why the filters (I presume you are talking about policy filters in the advanced tab) would change order.

Did anything else change on that machine recently?

Adrien

Hello again, Adrien!

Yes, these are the filters on the advance tab on recipient policies...

Nope, I did not change anything on the wingate server. This re-enumeration thing is also true for existing recipient policies...i.e. I have 10 policies for one user already set. If I want to add a new rule for him and click add, the filter number starts at Filter 1 [again].

Best regards,

Hello ALainONE,

I've noticed the same behavior for some time now. I used to meticulously rename the filters to preserve unique names, but after a while I stopped renaming them. I now have several filers named 'Filter 1', Filter 2', etc. in random order, i.e. mixed in with other numbered filters. This does not seem to cause any harm and they all function as the entire set is invoked and processed when needed. I don't believe that the individual order is important.
