I got WinGate so that I could test a SOCKS proxy feature in a client software package we're developing.
When I enter the settings and make the software do its thing, I can see the connection details show up in the Proxy log. That's great. But my client connects to the internet whether I've got the SOCKS proxy server configured/running or not. I'd like to find the simplest way to force this software to use the proxy server and NOT WORK when the proxy server is not running or configured improperly.
Thanks,
DL

Hi
You'll need to make sure either
a) the client doesn't have a default gateway set
b) there's no NAT available (can disable NAT in WinGate)
