hi guys,

how do i set when www.facebook.com is blocked and the webpage will show enter user name and password to access?
possible for wg 6.2.2?

Is it only Facebook you want people to authenticate for?


You can do this with 2 policies on the www proxy server

1 - Everyone - add "http URL" "contains" "facebook" to the ban list.
>> this will allow unauthenticated access to all sites except facebook.

2 - Everyone -"user must be authenticated" no other restrictions.
>> This will allow access to facebook only if the user has authenticated and will prompt users to authenticate if they are not.

note: you will need to set system rights to "Are ignored" and make sure you have no other policies on the WWW Proxy that will grant users unauthenticated access to facebook. You will also need to select an authentication method on the General tab of the WWW Proxy.

Good day jasona,

I have 1 www proxy server with 2 policies, 1 banlist the other is schedule time when lunch time user can allow all site.
Now what i want is blocked everyones online and allow certain user to online because they have to access to bank site to work, and jasona you know how, when i blocked everyones to online i need to allow their mail how do i do? users here get mail direct to mail isp, i very new at wingate hope you guys can help me out thank you!!
