Hi
I joined the forum because I think WinGate is the tool I need, but before i put any effort in learning its ways, I need to make sure it can help me track email usage for audit purposes.
The scenario is a small office network, the server running Windows 2008 R2 SP1 Foundation Editions, and 10 workstations running Windows 7 Professional 64-bit. Each user will have at least a company email address, but some may be allowed to use other email addresses.
What I need to know, at any given time, is
1) To whom each user sent emails;
2) Who sent emails to them;
3) The email contents
Thank you very much in advance,
Carlos

Hi Carlos
WinGate logs all mail in and out of its SMTP server / delivery service. So you can see who is sending mail to whom (in and out).
As for content, you can get it to keep copies of all mail as well, or even add a recipient to each mail (e.g. a monitoring account). Then you can review the mail with an IMAP client (server-side search etc).
Regards
Adrien
