I've read past topics on this issue. After exporting the Qbik registery, I understand that I need to do a Find/Replace to insert Wow6432Node to all paths.
But I noticed the following lines in the (32-bit) registry:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Qbik Software\Key Management\Products\Kaspersky AntiVirus for WinGate]
"Product"="Kaspersky AntiVirus for WinGate"
"Key Store"="SOFTWARE\\Qbik Software\\WinGate\\License Manager\\Kaspersky AntiVirus for WinGate"
"Key Root"=hex:02,00,00,80
"Key Folder"="C:\\Program Files\\WinGate\\Plugins\\Kaspersky AntiVirus 3.0"
1) In the Key Store line, do I use double slashes? eg., SOFTWARE\\Wow6432Node\\Qbik Software...
2) I guess I also need to Find/Replace to insert "Program Files (x86)" in place of "Program Files". Is this correct?
Are there any other changes that need to be made to the registry file before importing into a 64-bit machine? (The OS on our new 64-bit machine is Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise).
Thx.

Hi
there's no need to insert wow6432Node into the path.
Just use the 32 bit version of regedit on the 64 bit machine to do the import.
1. open c:\windows\syswow64\regedit.exe
2. select file open, browse to the .reg file and click ok.

OK thanks.
Is there a way to also move over the settings for KAV?

same deal, in fact the settings for KAV probably already were moved if this is WinGate 7, since they then are under the WinGate reg key.
