New user attempting to use Wingate Proxy Server via loopback

I have installed Wingate on a system with two network adapters (1 Internal and 1 External).

I have modified the Access Rule "Allowed" to apply to the current user (John), for this IP address (1 Internal + 1 External + 127.0.0.1).

I have set my browser Proxy Server to 127.0.0.1 port 80. Upon attempting to access the Internet, I receive the page "WinGate has blocked (URL) because rule Default Rule denied access to category Unknown.".

Why is the "Allowed" rule not superceding the Default Rule?

Hi John

Did you adjust the What tab on the "Allowed" access rule to apply to all requests (the check box at the top of the tab on this rule). Since by default this rule will only grant access to websites and URLs that have been classified as belonging to the Allowed category on the categories tab.
