Environment:
Trend Micro Interscan 3.51
WinGate 6.1
NT User Authentication in Wingate
Users access Interscan HTTP proxy port. And then Interscan accesses Wingate Proxy Port. Under this situation, I found a problem regarding the username which is used to autheticate who can access Internet or not.
E.G. User A can access Internet freely. And user B can not access Internet. If user A open Web Browser and then access web site, I can see the user is accessing Internet in Wingate Activity page. Later, user B tries to access Internet without any authentication. I am surprised that user B can access Internet on behalf of user A. It is the error.
Your advice is appreciated.
Thanks/Best Regards

If you have several users accessing a proxy from behind another proxy, then to WinGate, they will appear to be from the same IP address.
Normally WinGate takes this to mean they are the same user.
If you want WinGate to force the users to authenticate separately, you need to enter the IP address of the Interscan proxy into GateKeeper in the multi-user machines section (on the users tab).
