How to compress traffic?

Suppose a WAN connection exists between Server A and Server B (both running wingate) and only Server A is connected to the Internet. However the WAN connection bandwidth is limited.

Is it possible to compress the traffic between A and B so that internet becomes faster and bandwidth is conserved?
