I've been using the POP3 Proxy via port 8110 for ages now with no problems to collect mail. I now need to use TLS on Port 995 with this but cannot see how to configure it. I have it working directly to the remote server but have now lost the Kaspersky AV filtering.
Can someone please take me through this step-by-step please? I see it's supported from Help but not how to configure the POP3 Proxy.
TIA
Tony

Hi
The POP3 proxy doesn't support TLS connections.
If you need to use POP3 with TLS, and have AV scanning, then the only way WinGate will do that currently is if you use POP3 collection to a local account, and then get your clients to download the mail from WinGate's POP3 server.

Thanks. Is this documented step-by-step somewhere please? I think I have the email set up to collect but there is absolutely no evidence of anything happening in the logs. Nor can I see how/where you bind the generated cert with anything.

Hi Tony
There is some discussion of this in this paper
http://downloads.qbik.com/qbiknz2/downl ... ations.pdf
It covers setting up POP3 retrieval and setting up the POP3 server in WinGate.

Adrien
