I am having a problem accessing ftp sites through Wingate from pcs using IE 5/5.5/6.
I have HTTP, FTP and SOCKS proxy set up in Wingate 5.2 and wingate 6.1.1 (Two different servers both running w2k).
If I have a route/gateway in place on the PC I can access the ftp site, if I don't have the route/gateway in place, I can't!
The only device on our network that should be aware of the internet is our email/proxy server , all other pcs/server should only have our WAN router in as their gateway.
I have set that our internal DNS server (w2k) can resolve external names.
What is going on?
Thanks in advance for any help.
Jason.

Ok, I got it to work with PCs - I had to take off the FTP proxy setting in IE and then it would work, but........
Now I need to get it working with Macs!!!!
I'm no Mac expert but I think I hve the settings in in a similar fashion but it's not working - any help gratefully appreciated.
Mac OSx IE 5.2
