problems in multiple internet source (dial-up/dsl tandem)

Feb 14 06 8:08 pm

hi this is sort of complicated when i lose my dsl on the wingate server, the dialup will still handle the internet on the client side.
but when my dsl goes back on line, wingate cannot decide to use the reconnected broadband connection. there for even when the good internet is back wingate is still using the bad. that is not good.
now my question is how do you make winroute chose the better connection when it goes back online?

Hi

Doe you have gateway monitoring turned on? does it detect when the DSL becomes unavailable?

Hi,

In GateKeeper --> Extended Networking --> Monitor for dead gateways

Should do the the trick.

Report back how it goes.

hi, the problem doesnt seem to disappear with the monitor dead gateways checked.
ive already disable the firewall too.
we'll actually the internet webbrowsing will run back to the original speed but when one connection gets disconected my remote desktop will slow down or stop.
by the way i didnt install a client software on the client computer do i need to?
