IE Failed Authentication with WWW Proxy service

Feb 17 06 12:44 am

I have only 15 days of evaluation left and I still have problems with WWW authentication:
I set a WWW proxy policy to allow only some AD groups to browse the Internet with IE with autentication level raised to ASSUMED and NTLM protocol.
Wingate recognize the correct user name but message logs reports that the user failed to authenticate. This appears especially if the user is logged with his name on multiple machine. Even a classic page as www.google.it is blocked.
The www service uses interceps.
The Internet Explorer is set to use WWW proxy port for all protocols.
I do not want to use WGIC or QbikAuth.
If a user is logged on only one machine this problem does not appear.

Another problem that appears with the same user logged on two machine is browsing a mail IMAP server with two different account: the mails displayed are from the same account.

Please Help.

I dont think you should used "User should be Assumed" with NTLM. You want "User must be authenticated"

With IMAP, Is it not specific to the account setup in the email client; not who the user is? Or are you talking about a site on the internet?

Yes, my original config was "User must be authenticated", I tried this level of security because is the minimum.

Yes, it's a webmail site on the internet. I exclude it from the cache but at the moment I do not have reports from users.

Thanks
