i have now a ftp programm on the server were i am running wingate on.
But to have the ftp server program work even with firefox users i need to open the port 21. but my firewall says wingate is listening on port 21 on every interface i have. How can i make it stop to do that so i can run my ftp server without problems?

thnx for ur help

You have to stop and disable FTP service in WinGate.

or you can even delete it.

You will probably also need to manually open port 21 in WinGate's firewall so that the FTP server can accept connections.

But it is not that easy!
I already did that before i posted in here (i should have told u that)
i deleted that ftp service and tried it even with disabling the wingate firewall...
wingate still lissens on port 21 on every interface.

1. Stop the WinGate engine and check if something is still listening on port 21.

2. If something is still listening it's not WinGate (Because, if you've deleted the service listening on port 21 then it cannot be listening there anymore)

3. If you email me your current registry setup for WinGate (email address in my profile, you can export from Advanced Options in start menu or Advanced Options in GateKeeper - but remember it's the registry, not the config report) I can have a look through and see if there's anything else setup that might be listening there.
