Questions Before Buying

I have a set already that is running winproxy at the moment but i have been having so much problems with the set up since the beginning, i just want to know will wingate fix these... or at least will wingate run more smoothly...

here is my set up:
internet connection: two way satellite connection (star duo if anyone is familiar with it).
server: duel processor P4 xeon machine running win2k advanced server.
clients: PCs running winXP and macs running Mac OS X v10.4

problems:

QuickTime streaming video never worked
Airport wireless basestations used to work now they don't not sure if the problem is from winproxy or win2k
some machines can't access secure sites
some machines can't load attachments to webmail
virus protection that came with winproxy gets bypassed
can't know where users are going and can't block sites
a client that has access for a certain time gets it 24/7


I would really like some help and I am really interested in your software

Hi

Can't see any problems with WinGate running on your hardware and clients.

I think probably the airport wireless problems would be something else, since they normally appear to the OS as a normal LAN card, depends what problems you were seeing.

Sounds like you may also have some sort of MTU issue as well. That can have weird effects since large packets can be lost. we've done quite a bit of work in WinGate related to MTU.

Should be able to easily solve your last issues, auditing, logging and policy control.
