Does anyone know, how to log usage of POP3 and FTP services - like web proxy and smtp usage are logged? Thanx))

Hi
we don't have a W3C format log for POP3 and FTP, however requests that are made are logged to their respective diagnostic logs. You may need to alter the verbosity/severity level for logging to see them.

Thank You for Your answer, Adrien!)
It seems that user request for FTP and POP3 are logged only in debugging mode. I tried this already. As a result - several MB of logs daily with a lot of useless (for me) info. That would be great to have a tiny usage log for this services instead of monstrous debugging log. Just like web proxy and smtp. May be this is idea for next WG version or update?
Thank You))

Hi!
Another fine option would be a possibility to write info in a file from a policy. With this option users may create they own and customizable logs for any event and any service.

Hi
it is actually possible to write to file using the LuaScript policy item
http://www.lua.org/manual/5.1/manual.html#5.7 has more details on this.
I'll also look at changing the log level for informational things for POP3 and FTP proxies so you can log at info level rather than having to log at debug level.

Thank You, Adrien, that would be very good! I'm not so familiar with Lua script, tried to make .bat file ("run process" from policy), but then i found workaround - linux machine "greps" debugging logs once a day, so i get a compact and usable log with user's POP3 requests and filenames in FTP log. Thank you for your attention :))
