Terminal server and Credential rules

Sep 18 13 9:30 am

Hello!

I´m evaluating Wingate 8, installed into windows 2003 std. The server is member of our domain.

Authentication is fine with single user stations but I can´t make our terminal server identify the logged user. All connections are assigned to the first logged user.

I tried adding the server hostname (and ip) to the crendentials rules but it doesnt work.

Do I have to make any other configuration?

Thanks

Eduardo

Hi

if you set the mask to 255.255.255.255 does it make any difference?

Adrien,

now it works!

We use the subnet /24. Why Wingate need /32 to work?

Thanks.

Hi

that mask is to define the set of IPs that will match the rule. So 255.255.255.0 should have worked, but would match any address in 192.168.0.1 - 192.168.0.254, not just 192.168.0.6

I'll need to double check why it didn't seem to match properly.

Adrien

Hi

I had another look into this, and can't repro the problem. For me, setting mask to 255.255.255.0 just means our whole subnet matches the rule.

Which version of WinGate 8 was this?

Adrien
