Connecting to wingate from a ethernet connected device

Jan 02 14 5:50 pm

Hi,

I am new to Wingate and have the free vVersion 7 licence. I have been trying to figure out how to connect a Sony PS3 to a wingate server so I can route the PS3 through a VPN service using the PC as a gateway. The goal is to watch Netflix in Japan where I a currently living and teaching English.

I have the PS3 connected to the PC through a USB Lan adaptor and the PC itself is connected to through it's built-n LAN card to an ADSL hub. I understand that I must point the DNS of the PS3 to the Windgate Server IP, but the trouble is I can't find a record of what IP the server has taken anywhere in the Wingate settings. The FAQ's seem to say a tab should have appeared which gives this information, but it is not appearing.

Can anyone please point me to any information I might be missing while setting this up?

Thanks,
Terry Rozmus

Hi Terry

to find the IP of the WinGate computer, there are several options.

1. in the OS, in network adapter properties, click the status button.

2. in command prompt, type ipconfig /all This will show you all IPs etc assigned to all adapters

3. In WinGate Management, look at the network connections tab.
