Wingate 4.5.2 and JAVA

Nov 26 03 2:22 am

I have a 25 user Wingate 4.5.2 proxy mounted over an WNT 4.0 SP6 server.
Wingate is configured as pure proxy, and the clients use it with explorer proxy configuration.
I can navigate into most of sites, but I cannot access from my clients to some javascript based server (es: www.isolaag.com).
I can access to them using the wingate server, but not from any of my wingate clients. There is some java filter in Wingate ?

Thanks, Leo

There is an issue with Java and the way it connects and who it can connect to. This is a 'security' feature of some Java, it is only allowed to connect to the machine it was served from.
It can get confused it if thinks its come from some server but its coime through WinGate.
Are you using NAT? Try using the Nat (IE set WGIC to Local on a test machine) and see if it can then get through.
